After checking out the Intangibles iWPS Qualifier, we decided to go back to the Bowery to see the Urbana iWPS quailifer. This was the official season opener in which last year's top-ranked poets were invited back.
Slammers:
The audience, including the jury:
The winner was announced by Taylor Mali - one of the most well-known poets to have emerged from the poetry slam movement and one of the few people in the world to have no job other than that of poet.
And the winner who got a chance to represent Urbana at the October event in Cleveland was Joanna Hoffman.
After the event we conducted interviews with Joanna Hoffman and the event's host Chad Anderson.
